Valentine Chocolate

First, I want to thank everyone who came to our first open house and chocolate tasting on Saturday. We had well over 100 people drop by, and had a wonderful time — we hope you did, too. We’ll definitely be doing that again.

Next, if you haven’t seen it yet, check out our new Kakao website. It was designed by Steady Rain, a super firm here in St. Louis, and we couldn’t be more pleased with it.

Of great significance with the new website is the shopping cart — yes, you can now order and pay for Kakao Chocolate online! And one of the options allows you to pick up your order at the shop. (Of course, since we don’t have regular hours, you’ll need to contact us directly to arrange a pick-up time, but we’re extremely flexible about that.)

For Valentine’s Day, though, we know we need to open our doors a bit wider. So when you’re thinking about chocolate for your sweetheart, and you want to get something more than grocery store chocolate — you want something handmade locally with interesting flavors and all-natural ingredients — you can stop by our shop at 2837 Cherokee Street  on Friday, February 13, from 11 a.m. to 7  p.m. and pick up your order.

Not sure what you want? Can’t decide if you need Schlafly’s Coffee Stout Truffles or our hand-dipped chocolate-covered caramels with sea salt? Want to put together a custom-picked assortment of truffles? Then just drop by the shop on Friday and we’ll set you up!

Oh, and don’t forget that we’ll be at the Farmers Market at St. John’s near Tower Grove on Saturday, February 14, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

See you soon!
